What are chakras and why are they important? Chakras are clockwise spinning wheels of energy within the body. Your chakras are constantly radiating and receiving energy. As we experience our life journey, chakras often become unbalanced. If we allow them to stay out of balance, physical disease may develop. Ebb & Flow Healing can help you identify which chakras need balance but first let’s explore the functions of the main chakras.[spacer height=”20px”]
Each chakra is defined by an illuminating color, physical association, and emotional function. They run along the spine to the head.[spacer height=”20px”]
Starting at the base of your spine is the root or base chakra. This chakra is a red color when balanced. The root’s function is to balance your sense of physical safety. This chakra governs the lower body, bones, and teeth. If you often feel anxious, low energy or have physical problems in lower limbs it may be an indication of imbalance.[spacer height=”20px”]
The second is our sacral chakra and sits around the belly button. This chakra spins an orange color. Our sacral chakra relates to creativity and sexuality. Physically it connects to our kidneys, bladder, and sex organs. If you experience difficulties with touch, low creativity, or infections in the kidneys and bladder you may be unbalanced.[spacer height=”20px”]
The solar plexus is the third chakra and is colored yellow. The solar plexus is found at the base of the sternum. This chakra is about your self-identity. The liver, stomach, and muscles are connected to the third chakra. Imbalances may exhibit in aggressive nature, low self-esteem, or excessive digestive problems.[spacer height=”20px”]
The bridge chakra is our heart chakra. Our chest houses the fourth chakra and it is green or pink. Our sense of love arises from our heart chakra. The ribs, skin, hands, and arms are connected to our heart. Emotional imbalances can be seen in the form of judgment, not saying ‘no’, or difficulties in giving/receiving love.[spacer height=”20px”]
The throat chakra is fifth and resides at the base of the neck. This chakra emits blue and rules our communication. The throat physically connects to the mouth, neck and voice. When this chakra isn’t balanced you may be withdrawn, have problems with communication, or throat illnesses.[spacer height=”20px”]
The sixth chakra is the third eye. Glowing purple, it sits in the middle of our forehead. Our intuition comes from this chakra. The sinuses, ears and left brain are ruled by the third eye. You may experience migraines, nightmares, or difficulties concentrating if this is unbalanced.[spacer height=”20px”]
Last but not least is the crown chakra. The crown can appear violet or white on the top of your head. Our spiritual beliefs are defined by the crown chakra. Physically it connects to our nervous system and brain. If you find it hard to learn new things, feel no purpose in life, or fear death you may be imbalanced here.[spacer height=”20px”]
